I finally broke down and tried on of the many Lebanese restaurants dotting edgeware. The Hilton Concierge recommended the Beirut Express, so me and the captain gave it a go.

I would definitely go back to this restaurant. The food was great and the service quick. There were a lot of locals in there, so you know it must be good.

We first had salads and they were very good. Lightly dressed and fresh produce. We were hungry by then anyway, so you could have probably put anything down in front of us and we would have devoured it.

My main dish was lamb sausage kebobs, with a very hot sauce. There was a white garlic cream sauce on the side. The hot sauce was extrememly hot, and was definitely at my hot limit, and I like hot foods.

The captain had a milder chicken kebab dish. The garlic cream sauce was awesome. Most of the locals had ordered the hummus, so I'd try that on my next visit.

Both main dishes were excellent.

Try it out!! Go south on Edgeware past the McDonalds and it will be on the east side.
